I would be happy to have same features on JM as on HDR (solo) Live could be much easyer if there were Frames to save and to set again. Like if you working for a Mag or Newspaper you need allwas 1,2, 3 oer 4 collums images.
Further its a shame that SF dose stil not support Tiff LWZ. We make large bachtjob after scanning in PS only for LWZ compression and Rename as SFHDR puts allways 4digit st the names end. Again and Agian.

Dear Michel.
I am not sure, that I understand your point with the frames. JM is an extension to SilverFast and it supports everything that the base version supports. You can define your frames for 1, 2, 3 or 4 columns images, save these frames as frame sets and use them again later. This is how you do it:
1. Defines your frames (location and correction)
2. Save them as a frame set.
3. Open JM.
4. Load the frame set, if it is not loaded yet.
5. Press the "Add all frames to the job" button in the JM dialog.
-> Now you have the frames in the JM and you can edit them if needed.
As far as I know, LZW compression is protected by a patent. Both reading and writing has to be licenced. We didn?t licence this compression, because we don?t see the big use of it. Most customers will compress their images into JPEG. I know that JPEG compression allways will loose quality, but on the other hand the compression ratio of LZW isn?t that high.
The new versions of SilverFast doesn?t add the 4 digits at the end of the filename, if the frame, which you are scanning, has a name. You can define a frame name in the frame panel. The frame name can also be used in JM.
