Hi listeners,

using Nikon CS III with IT8 calibrated AI 5.5.2r02 I've problems with the new 4th color layer FUJI Superia films. It produces, with present FUJI->Superia->... profiles for NegaFix, heavy purple images.
Does anybody know a fitting profile? Sometimes other label uses same contents. Maybe SilverFast is able to release a film to profile translation table?
Does NegaFix contain a "general" profile that workes eaktly as AI version 5.0.2 without NegaFix? I like this version results on this film. If not, this would bee a good 'new' feature to add because it's impossible to support any film thats on the market.
I've got some informations about producing RAW data files of wanted films for SilverFast . I own the equipment and I'm in the mood to doo this but I need detailed information about light (flashlight, sunlight ...). Further more, I think I'll need a reflective color target - may anybody rent it to me?

Regards,
Stefan
(I'm sorry about my english skills)

Dear eridon,
thanks for the willingness to generate raw data for LaserSoft Imaging in order to help getting a negative film profile for your Fuji film. However, the Nikon LSIII is not capable of outputting anything more than 8bit real data - which is a hardware limitation. Furthermore, it is true that the image taken with such a film must have some standardized colours and cannot just be pictures.
To be honest, it is rather difficult to achieve good quality negative scans - even with SilverFast and NegaFix - out of this hardware (LSIII), because of its output limitation (8bit data). SilverFast's NegaFix is based on raw data information from the hardware, which is usually more then 8bit output. As the LSIII can only deliver 8bit it is little information for NegaFix which makes it hard to work on.
Ever thought about updating your hardware?
