film strip offset in thumbnail

It would be nice to be able to position the film strip offset in some sort of thumbnail view. Instead you have to do a prescan of every frame, just to have to move it and do another prescan. But this is just a broad stroke adjustment tool anyway and should be able to be done quicker.
