As I understand, Silverfast AI can save raw files in Silverfast's native format only. Can we expect the option to save as DNG-files in forthcoming updates of Silverfast AI? Or will you supply Adobe with your HDR-information to be used in its DNG-converter?
I am very satisfied with the Silverfast software, but now that I have entered the joyful world of controlled Raw-processing, I really miss this option with Silverfast. Of course I could use your HDR-software, but that would really complicate my workflow and force me to handle yet another piece of raw-tweaking software. One format and one Raw-converter/tweaker is more than enough for my brain, and wallet, to handle before I even begun the post processing of Photoshop...

save to DNG
We will consider offering to save into the DNG format with the AI version in the near future.
What is the status of save to DNG format?
Best,
Christopher

Re: DNG raw format support in AI ?
I think RAW output feature (to DNG) would be ideal for those who want to "tweak" their scans further in programs such as Lightroom with the least amount of color and data loss. Plus i'm willing to bet file sizes would be smaller and more friendly than a 48bit TIFF.

Dear Modified Photo,
DNG is scheduled but will be implemented accordingly to our agenda.
Please note that 48Bit tiff is a perfectly good way to handle Scanner RAW Data and that you will not get much advantages from usind DNG instead.
