Hello. First let me say I'm a 199 Euro registered user of Silverfast AI for the Minolta 5400 and am happy with the product and I bought it for the Negafix features. Now, I would like help with the problems of negative bowing in the negative carrier. Ideally I would make two scans. One with the best focus in the center and another at the edges. I've posted examples on
photo.net http://www.photo.net/bboard/q-and-a-fet ... _id=00AZS8
Is there any chance you could help me here with this problem? It seems to be that anyone would have this need now that scanners are reaching such great resolutions.
Bowed negative: 2 focus points stitched together?

Dear russell
thank you for your interest in LaserSoft Imaging's software products.
What you are requesting is an interesting option, however, not an easy feat to accomplish. I am afraid that such a function will stay missing from SilverFast for quite some time.
I suggest you are rather trying to find out how such scans can be fixed in image manipulation applications for a quicker road to success.
Kind regards
