Request: Better file numbering options
SilverFast is currently very limited in its numbering options. There is only one number option; a 4-digit number.
In v**s**n though, there are two numbering options. The first option is to number the images numerically in order. The second option is to number the images according to their frame position within the film.
In both cases, you can specify how many digits make up the number; 0, 00, 000, etc. You can also specify the position of the numbers within the file name. SilverFast on the other hand always places the numbers at the end of the file name, just before the (optional) file extension.
In the case of the frame numbering, v**s**n also allows the user to specify an offset value which is useful with film strips where frame 1 is actually frame 7 or with rolls of film where frame 2 is actually frame 1 (the first frame being blank lead film). Frame numbering is very useful when scanning selected non-contiguous frames from a strip/roll of film. The file names are meaningful and useful.
If Job Manager supported frame numbering, WOW! think of the convenience that would bring.

Gregory
