Aperture support for SF's JPEG2000 format

Postby Gregory C » Sat Apr 28, 2007 2:54 am

Please request Apple to support SF's JPEG2000 format in Aperture. I would prefer to catalog and archive my scans in Aperture, and I'd prefer to do it in 48-bit colour; i.e., JPEG2000 Lossless Compression. 48-bit TIFFs are way too big.

Or 12-bit JPEGs but JPEG2000 would be better ;-)

regards,
Gregory

Dear Gregory,

hope you are well. I will gladly forward your request to my contact at Apple. I actually talked to Apple during Photokina to implement SilverFast as some kind of aquire module for Aperture and they seemed quite interested. But no progress yet.

I?ll keep you on the loop.

Best,

JAN
