I don't see the Kodak Supra line (ASA 100, 400, and 800).
Film was designed to accomodate scanning adicts by including a scratch-resistant coating, so it seems imperative you include it in your list.

Fuji NPL

Please don't forget Fuji NPL 4x5!!!

This film is the workhorse of architectural photographers because of it's unique ability to render images under florescent lights.

Kodacolor X

I know this is a really obsolete (C-22!) film, but I work with an archival collection with hundreds of thousands of images shot on this. I have provided HDR scans as requested in the past, and can do so again. The Vericolor profile appears reasonably close, and would probably be a good starting point.

Kodak T-MAX 400
Kodak T-MAX P3200
Fujicolor Press 1600
Fuji Neopan 1600

All high speed films terribly missed in the NegaFix profiles.
Infact, they are my favorite and only films for
night time & stage photography (known to me)
I hope you'll take the time to work those through.

Please be so kind and scan the negatives in SilverFastAi with "Image mode /48 bit HDR colour" as small files of about 5 MB and compress them in SilverFastAi as JPEGs (SilverFastAi / General panel / Scan Mode / Normal (File) / Format: JPEG / Options: Quality at level 8. The resulting size will be about 500 kB.

I'd be willing to scan some of my Delta 3200 that meets your requirements. Where should we send the scans?

Please create profiles for the 2 new Kodak UC (UltraColor) films!

Kodak 100 UC

Kodak 400 UC

They are based on the old Portra UC films.

Please create a profile for the

Kodak Royal Supra 200

In my opinion this is a film which is commonly used in the amateur's section due to its high brillance of colors.

Missing Profiles

Postby davebias » Tue Apr 12, 2005 4:11 pm

I'm all for asking for some input from the users - but it seems LaserSoft is falling way behind on profiles and I, for one, don't feel like it should be up to the users of your product to keep it current. There aren't that many new films being released each year and there are still a number of regularly available films still not available as Negafix profiles, as people on this forum have pointed out.

I would think that many of us buy your product because it saves us a certain amount of time and work. And I would further suspect that most of us don't have the time or inclination to do the work of shooting per your requirements, scanning and uploading - so that we can have a profile that Lasersoft should already be supplying.

The longer LaserSoft attempts to enlist its users to upgrade its products, the more time a competitor will have to steal your thunder...

Arista?

Postby RKennedy » Wed Apr 20, 2005 7:36 pm

I just upgraded to the latest version of 6, and I can find no Arista products. How about some Arista film?

Is there actually such a thing as "true" Arista film ? The last roll I used turned out to actually be"Ferrania"- material, which we do support.
