Here are two features I?d like to add to the wish list. I don?t know if they have already been ?wished? for, I haven?t checked the entire forum yet.
1. On the Polaroid SS4000, the autofocus option doubles the time it takes to prescan a frame (73 s instead of 35 s). It would be nice to have an option ?Autofocus during scan only?. As of today, I constantly have to remind myself to switch it off to prescan and on to scan.
2. Silverfast is a very complex program; it gives you a lot of options to choose from, great! I?m continuously tweaking and changing options in function of the type of media I scan and what I want to do next. It would be nice if SF would let you save and name different custom configurations that you could recall later on.
Also, the new ?Job manager?? does it really have to be that complicated? I find it quite unusable. Is there any tutorial about it?
Best regards,
Luc Busquin

Someone did ask for this feature and I AGREE that including a facility whereby unchecking a tickbox in the Options/Auto panel would be a GREAT time saver.

I think it that it already provides such a feature. Of course there are limitations and it may well be that you are looking to go much further than the currently enabled. However, you can configure the main panel as you choose image mode/filter/resolution/dimesions/image type - once happy with your choices simply choose the Settings Save popup and insert you preferred name for this configuration. next time you want that specific set you simply choose it from the same popup.

Hmm, it's about 80% complete
I just spent a few hours earlier today working through about 60 images from a Canon EOS D30 using Job Manager on HDR (Optional extra). This involved taking the image from linear raw (very dark) right through to a fully colour/tone corrected image. I then progressed to some 10 raw images from the SS4000. Once you get the hang of it it's really simple to use, although for 3 or 4 images it's of debateable use.

Ian,
Great! I just figured out how to save the main frame settings. Thanks! I think that particular popup is a bit counterintuitive; at the very least the save function under ?setting? should have been labeled ?save?? instead of just ?save?. (or I am crazy?)
Also I think it is just a partial solution. It would be nice if we were also able to save options located under ?General?, ?Auto?, ?CMS? and ?Special? (or maybe it is there, hiding somewhere into the popup menu jungle
Looking forward for your tutorial about ?job manager?.
