Tiger OS-X 10.4 problems

Application does not start, worked great in All prevoius versions of OS-X.
I have reinstalled the software(latest version) run discc utility/fsck -fy/restarted and reset the PRam (4 chimes) and still the same problems/I have thrown away the Lasersoft prefrences in the user/library/preferences folder.
1 out of 10 times it does start, always only after a reset of PRam and initial set up using the Minolta software/quit/retsart then maybe it might start..
dito on the extremely slower scan times in Tiger than in Panther, 25minutes for a 675-10"x8" san 86MB in size. When it works it's the best but I am migrating my workflow to v**s**n until this problem is resolved..anyone else with similar problems..
