Silverfast 6.2.3 does'nt recognize Minolta MultiPro scanner

Hello,

I've been merrily scanning along for a year or so and suddenly SilverFast doesn't recognize my Multi Pro Scanner. Strangely enough the computer does recognize it in both firewire and SCSI interface. I've changed cables and plugs and get the same results.

I've removed and reinstalled software as well as trashing preferences.
I've repaired permissions twice. My Epson and Agfa flatbeds work just fine and my HDR works as well.

To makes things more confusing the scanner works just fine on my G4 PowerBook. My destop system is a PowerMac G4 Dual 500mhz.

I'm sort of at my wits end. Are there any known conflicts with SF6.2.3r6. I did recently download the SF6,4 studio demo but hadn't any time to really try it out. Could there be a conflict there?

For those of you who might have taken the time to read my last posting I did resolve the issue. I installed SFE-6.4.1r3 and the scanner is seen by SilverFast again. Why SF 6.2.6 and other versions did not work on this particular machine? I don't know. It now works with the latest update and I guess that's all that's important.
