Scan Dual III with Prerelease

I've downloaded and installed the prerelease demo, but whenever I open the standalone application and try to launch the plugin, it doesn't recognize the scanner. I've looked in the log file, and sure enough, the Scan Dual III is not on the supported scanners list. On the website it says that this scanner "should work, but was not tested." How can I make the demo work with my scanner, or will I just have to wait until the final version comes out?

You'd better wait for a real version, as this one is like a test version which is not fully complete.
What you could do is send a text file that is now in your system to LaserSoft Imaging. The file name is 'SF_logfile' and the address is support@silverfast.de

I'm sorry that I have to say that the info on our web site isn't correct. Our current Minolta version doesn't support the Scan Dual III (nor the Dual II) and in the moment it looks like we won't have support for them in the near future (maybe never).
The supported scanners are:
DiMAGE Scan Multi
DiMAGE Scan Multi II
DiMAGE Scan Multi Pro
DiMAGE Scan Elite II

Well this is truely disheartening information. I was looking forward to using Silverfast with my scanner. May I inquire the reason for not supporting this scanner?

I'm sorry, but Minolta doesn't give us information/support for that scanners, so it's not our decision, but Minoltas.
