Minolta Quickscan35

Postby korkwood » Wed Jul 14, 2004 1:43 am

Hello from newbie
Little while ago i won Minolta Quickscan35+ slide scanner on Ebay hoping to convert lots of slides into more useful digital format.
Didn't realize how old that scanner was. Installed scsi board Adaptec AVA-1505 that came with scanner.Installed TWAIN driver from Minolta website. Installed utility file.
Now the problems...I get error messages that include:
"ASPI for Windows not initialized"
"TWAIN" device not configured
Trying to install new hardware on my computer using floppy that came
with scanner resulted in another error message, that diskette contains no
information re hardware.
I am running Win XP pro on my computer
Any help is appreciated
TIA
Korkwood

Dear korkwood

though SilverFast doesn't support your Quickscan 35 scanner, I suggest you try any of the two ASPI layer drivers available freely for download from our website at: http://www.silverfast.com/show/download/en.html

Please note that you need to reboot your computer after installing of a new set of ASPI drivers.
If your scanner does allow for it, you might want to change to SCSI ID and see if Windows will be able to connect to it thereafter (again, reboot of scanner and computer necessary after each change).

Good luck! :)
