The prescan adds so much needless time wasting to my scanning. I just want to use Silverfast to scan - not to edit the picture or adjust colors...I'll do that in Photoshop.
I would like to shut off the pre-scan and instead just click each thumbnail in the "Overview of all images" list and have it scan straight to file with the same settings.
Is there a way to do this or do I have to do the pre-scan for each photo I scan?
I'm using silverfast SE with the Minolta 5400 scanner. (NOT the 5400 II)
I have windows XP.
Thanks,
Frank
Is it possible to skip the prescan?
Dear ionian
of course I need to address your misunderstanding first:
What you have not scanned, you will not be able to correct in Photoshop.
I suggest to rethink if your workflow actually gives you what you want to achieve.
Now, the solution to your problem is quite easy. You don't have to call the overview. If nothing is selected in the overview window (imagine: no thumbnail carries the white "is selected for batchscan" background) SilverFast will behave the same as is all images have been selected. Your batchscan thus will scan all images of the film holder used.
