Hello,
I've just started using AI Studio v6.4.0r9 with Minolta Dimage Scan Multi Pro. When AACO is on, Digital ICE does not work - even if it is selected. When AACO is off, ICE works, but not as well as with Minolta software.
I bought the Studio upgrade mainly for AACO.... but if it breaks ICE, well...

ICE broken with AI Studio ?
Dear David
please don't hesitate to contact LaserSoft Imaging support staff: http://www.silverfast.com/problemreport/en.html
I would appreciate if you could paste a fresh copy of the SF_Logfile in the problem report.
On a Mac OS X PC you will find the SF_Logfile in /Users/(your username)/Library/Preferences/LaserSoft Imaging.
On a Windows 2000 or XP system the SF_Logfile is placed within /Documents and Settings/(your username)/Application Data/LaserSoft Imaging.
If you haven't yet changed the standard setting of the Windows Explorer you won't see any folder "Application Data". You then want to open the folder options dialogue (from "Extras" the menu) and go to the "View" tab. There you can enable the Explorer to show you hidden and system files and folders as well as displaying the contents of system folders.
On older operating systems like Windows 98/ME or Mac OS 9 you will most probably find the SF_Logfile within the the program folder of Adobe Photoshop /Plugins/Import-Export/(SilverFast).
You could of course also you the search function of your system to find the "SF_Logfile". Please make sure that you will be shown hidden and system files. The SF_Logfile is always created anew when SilverFast is started up, even if no scanner can be found, it will be created.
Simply open it with your text editor (double clicking the SF_Logfile) and select all the text (Win: CTRL+A; Mac: CMD+A). Then copy the selection to the clipboard (CTRL+C / CMD+C).
Go back to the problem report and click inside the text field. Move the text cursor to the end of your problem description and insert the SF_Logfile from the clipboard (CTRL+V / CMD+V).
Thanks in advance for your co-operation.
Kind regards

Problem with Digital ICE
Using Studio on Multiscan Pro (OS X 10.3), and can't get Digital ICE to work (had emailed suport). Using positive film (Velvia) setting, I get mesage that ICE doesn't work with B&W. I see no settings which would tell it I am using B&W.
ICE not working
MAC Powerbook 1.5GHZ/ 2GVRM 10.3.7/Photoshop CS/Minolta 5400/SilverFast Ai Studio(latest version 9"c")
ICE does not work! it also tells me ICE does not work with black & white fils and I can not find any way the software can determine this??
What Gives LaserSoft??

Ditto on no luck with ICE
I'm using Silverfast Ai 6 (newly downloaded) for an Dimage SE 5400 in Mac OS 10.3.7. ICE doesn't work.
Not only ICE, I seem to be unable to activate Silverfast SRD either.
In fact Silverfast (Photoshop plugin) is giving me green scans, whereas the Dimage Scan Utility in my applications folder gives 'normal' color (same image, same load to holder).
I have the 5400 on firewire, will try USB to see if that improves things.

Re: Ditto on no luck with ICE
I had similar problems when I upgraded to Studio. I am using the 5400 and I:
1. uninstalled all the software.
2. removed the programme directory.
3. removed the lasersoft dirctory under "documents and settings/application data. (this last one finally did the trick).
4. Reinstalled the Software.
The only remaining problem is slow prescans which I am told Lasersoft is aware of and will correct with the next update.
