Help with automatic scanning...

Postby thco » Fri Nov 12, 2004 11:57 pm

Hi,

I have the Minolta DiMage Scan Elite 5400 film scanner. I need to scan a lot of Kodachrome slides.

Here's what I need to to - how do I do it??

Dump 4 slides into the slite holder, hit scan to have all 4 slides automatically scanned to a folder on my hard drive

For some reason I am not able to scan 4 at a time - and when I scan it only scans the number 2 scan in the holder???

Thanks for any help.
Ted

Dear Ted

batchscan is possible in SilverFast Ai. Please use the overview to select all four slides (preview images in the overview need to be underlayed whitish).

Change scanning mode from normal to batch in the main dialogue on the "General" tab.

BTW, you don't need to refresh the overview if you already know that you are going to scan all slides anyway. This hint should help you to speed up your batch scanning somehow :)
