elite5400 with Silverfast 6. Problem and improvement require

I use Minolta 5400. silverfast AI version 6.1.0r5

I mainly B&W Neg Film Scan.

The Batch when the Scan doing, time the ton disappears sometimes. Highlight bleaching actual condition occurrence. (it goes mad,! )

When and, the Scan doing, simultaneously uses a different program, Scanner stops sometimes.

Certainly improvement entrusting.



In addition improvement requirement.

1. The Focus in Preview function 'auto' disappears. This function again additional desire.

2. The Focus after number designating of the Preview, when the Scan doing, it does not transit with the location always instead of in once execution desire

3. The Digital ICE use speed improvement (it is slow too much,! )

4. 'Gray Gamma Profile' basic insertion. (At the time of BW Neg use importance)

5. 'IT-8 Calibartion' quality improvement. (The Contrast and chroma are low)

Dear Customer,

the first thing I can answer directly : working around scanning will need Memory -> the more you have the better it will do.

If a process is set on higher proirity as the scanning process is, and memory gets too low -> the scanning process will be stoped.

If your are using windows there's a little nice tool to watch an free your memory.

Can you explaine to me what problem you are talking about in the first part, please :

My computer ram is 512MB DDR400

CPU is AMD Athlon XP 3200+
Windows XP Pro
USB 2.0 connect.
Nforce2 Ultra400 Chipset.


When the Program which is simple executing, (example, acdsee 6 or Internet Exploler) occurrence.

When 4000ED using, corresponding problem nil. (Silverfast 6 use)
The elite5400 when using, problem it occurs

The use environment is same
