Ever since we updated our Ai Studio to Version 6.5.1r1 we have a problem scanning landscape formats. If we rotate the prescan picture to see a landscape format in the right position/alignment, the real scan when openend will have the sides of the motif cut off. The Scan IS in landscape format, just the motif isn't, it's portrait format with the upper and lower part missing, as if I had put the slide wrongly into the tray, just I haven't. If I leave the prescan in portrait format, everything is fine with the scan, but it's pretty uncomfortable to judge a motif that should really be in landscape format. What can cause this problem?
Best regards, MaNi

Dear MaNi,
now this is definately a Bug we have to look into !
Could you tell me which image format ( tif / jpg / ... ) you are writing with which bit depth ( 24 or 48 ) ?
Could you try to delete your Preferences and try again ?
( start the launcher and *immediately press & hold the CTRL Button, the launcher should show its dialog, now select the menu File -> Preferences-> SF Service Dialog, now press the start button, in the upcoming service dialog choose to delete preferences ( you'll lose all your settings !!! ))
and try scanning the same image...
Greetings,
Nils Heidorn

Hello and sorry ... it is not a bug ... just my own mistake.
After the recent update to 6.5.1r1 the rotation in the densitometre was - for some unknown reasons - active and different from the prescan rotation. I didn't even know this function existed, since we have never rotated an image via the densitometer so far. Customer support just told me to check this (the tiny orange triangles) and now that I have deactivated the different rotation there, everything is just fine!!
Thanks a lot for your quick help and also thanks to the tech support for helping to solve this problem so fast!!
Regards, MaNi

Dear MaNi,
this *was* a Bug that previous version introduced, because even if rotated in the Densi it should work just fine.
The Bug was carried through to your 651r1 Version by the Preferences file, so you could have solved it by deleting the Prefs as well !
Glad it is solved, Greetings:
