Driver for Minolta DiMAGE Scan Elite 5400-II Mac Due?

Dear LaserSoft:
Two years ago one of your salesmen told me the driver to run Minolta DiMAGE Scan Elite 5400-II scanner for SilverFast 8 would be out soon. As you know, it still isn't out. Are you still working on it or is Silverfish 6 the only version that will run this scanner?

Dear customer,

unfortunately writing a driver for this scanner was not as easy as expected. The scanner unfortunately has some special behaviours that can not be easily compensated.
We are still searching for a solution but I can not say when or if it will be possible.

Dear LaserSoft representative,

Since I have upgraded to Windows 7 and SilverFast 8, I have not been able to use SilverFast to scan with my Minolta Diamage Scan Elite 5400II scanner and I am now forced to use v**s**n.
I noticed this discussion and would very much like to ask you as well to make a driver available to use this scanner with SilverFast 8 on Windows 7.
This would also encourage me to continue to use LaserSoft products in the future.
