I have been on an extensive scanning routine to produce high resolution files for a new photographic portal for licensing. I have noticed on some images (it may just be 35mm) that when I blow up the image to 100% to clone out dust spots, I will see some purple fringing in spots and some faint vertical lines. What could this be? Please advise.
I am using Silvefast Ai version 6.4.2 and the other settings are 48 bit color, Filter-none, Settings-save and Image-landscape. I have the multi-sampling at the max setting of 16.
Thanks in advance for your answers.

Dear J.Paul
(a) "some purple fringing in spots"
Perhaps chromatic aberation?
(b) "some faint vertical lines"
Typical hardware issue with certain scanner models. Inherent to technology. Software could only disguise the problem. We don't feel we'd like but rather scan as exactly as possible.
