Microtek opinions?
Microtek opinions?
I'm considering buying a Microtek Artixscan 120tf with Silverfast, but before I do, does anyone here have any issues, either negative or positive, regarding Microtek tech support? Any other plusses or minuses you'd care to share? TIA!

Microtek 120 tf Scanner
The Microtek 120tf is a huge scanner about 20 inchs long and 11 inchs wide, weighs about 20lbs. you will need plenty of room for the scanner. 4000 dpi can make some file sizes that are unmanagable if you do not have a powerful computer with alot of Ram installed. Setup is easy but configuration with Photoshop color setting can be confusing. There is much info available on the Lasersoft website to help. I have had no problems getting help through the Forum Board with questions. The scanner is easly to use but makes loud noises while scanning and you may think its about to take off. If you dont plan to scan much 120 film I would go with the 4000tf it takes alot less room up and costs about 50% less.
