Light intensity adjustment ?

I'm scanning transparent positive film samples. With the automatic enhancement features, I'm getting unwanted variations in light intensity from scan to scan. Is there anyway to turn these enhancements off so that I simply get a constant light intensity displayed? Oh, and I'm using Microtek's 9800XL w/ TMA on WinXP if that's of concern.

First, please make sure your cropping is tighly around the actual image. If there are any onexposed film parts inside the cropping frame, the auto- adjust function won't work properly. If this is not the source of the problem, you can also scan the imaged with no correction at all. Please re-set Silverfast using the trashcan-icon located in the pre-scan window. Then, do anotehr pre-scan and frame your image. As long as you don't use the auto-adjust button, no adjustments are being applied.
