I was trying to use my newly purchased EZColor with the Scanmaker 4 and kept getting error messages. Their tech support said their software didn't like the Microtek Twain software, because you couldn't really turn of color correction, and and that I should purchase the SilverFast scan driver. So, o.k., nothing like spending even more money to make my printer profiles; but, what is the least expensive SilverFast application that will allow me to turn off all color correction and successfully use the EZColor software?
WindowsXP, Epson R1800 printer, Photoshop CS2, Eizo crt monitor.

Dear pisaacs
you can use SilverFast SE to scan in HDR mode for scanner delivered into a TIFF file uncorrected from the CCD.
Be sure to set the gamma level appropriate and check the gamma "for HDR output" box to have at least the gamma curve applied to the scan (HDR scans will not consider other changes set in SilverFast, but gamma, if necessary, see above).
