I got a 120tf recently, and I find there is a cool accessory, the glass holder, because someone saids it gives better focus.
But some others say the Newton problem and the picture may be less sharp. So I dont know whether there are some real improvements, especially when my film is not very curved vs the glass holder.
Furthermore, I contacted Microtek german and searched internet but the glass holder is no longer available, so is there anybody know where I can get one?
Thanks

Re: Microtek 120tf with glass holder
Dear ostler,
when your film is flat and not curved (even when "hanging" in the holder) then avoiding the glass holder is the better choice,
because the extra glass in the optical path has a negative impact on scan quality.
Best regards
Martin

As of 2015 Focal Point still sells the glass holder for your Artixscan. www.fpointinc.com
