Lion on Microtek M1 Pro and 900
Have any idea when Siverfast 8 will be available for my Microtek M1 Pro ? I upgraded my Intel Macpro to Lion. It seems that you keep Lion owners of Microtek scanners in the wait... Hope you don't consider us as 2nd class owners of Silverfast softwares. Neither my HRD48 or my Ai Studio softwares latex versions for Microtek will work. You posted proudly that you were on target for last August availability. I would have appreciate that you tell us that this timeframe was not applicable for Microtek !!!

Dear Mr Deschenes,
The Microtek support will become available within the next weeks.
Unfortunately even our developers can only do one thing at a time so we can not implement all devices at once.
kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.

Can we get another update on support for Microtek and Lion? The last post in September said ' a few weeks' and it is almost December.

Re: Lion on Microtek M1 Pro and 900
Hi there,
We are still working on the implementation with the scanner manufacturer. For this task we need new drivers and these are not instantly ready, the manufacturer needs to program, test and correct the drivers first.
The two scanners in question do not have an updated driver yet. Perhaps the first quarter 2012 it might be possible for the manufacturer to provide those (it is just a possibility).
Once those are available we will start with the implementation.
Thanks for your understanding and patience
Kind regards

Crazy me but wouldn't it have been a great idea to use that newsletter you never send to mention any issues there might be when one of the largest OS's upgrades. Just saying.

On the Microtek website it looks like the drivers for Lion have been available since January. Any news on when the scanner software will be updated?
Here is what is posted on Microtek:

Re: Lion on Microtek M1 Pro and 900
Hi there,
Thanks for your contribution. As you can see from your own post, there is no driver available for the M1 Pro nor the 900.
The drivers available are almost exclusive to scanner models recently developed by Microtek.
We already started working on the implementation of some of the scanners mentioned in the list. As soon as any of these models are available we will make this public on our website's newsletter. Subscribed users will be automatically notified by email.
Kind regards

Re: Lion on Microtek M1 Pro and 900
I am interested in support for the Microtek ScanMaker 9800XL with TMA
The Microtek site lists this as having a supported driver for OS Lion
When will you update your software to support this scanner?

Hi there,
Please bear in mind that the Microtek 9800XL and the 9800XL Plus are two different scanners.
If you have the former 9800XL (no Plus) contact Microtek for further information
Kind regards
