Insufficient Memory - Cannot allocate scan buffer
Insufficient Memory - Cannot allocate scan buffer
I've recently installed Silverfast 6.0.1r35. The scanner is a Microtek ScanMaker 9800XL. I'm on a G3 mac, in OS9. The scanner worked great for a week and a half, until today. After previewing an image, when I began to Scan, the scanner will begin then stop. I come across these messages. "Cannot Allocate Scan Buffers - Insufficient Memory " and this message also "Insufficient Memory for scans". Any ideas on how to remedy this would be great. I've reinstalled the software, deleted about 3 gigs worth of stuff on the harddrive. Thanks.

The version you are currently using is really old.
As a first try you should update to the latest version 642r2a:

Best regards
