Firewire connection works but USB doesn't.

I've struggled for a few months trying Silverfast on my Microtek 1800f. I've been using USB connection with my Mac OX 10.5.7 and didn't work (always comes with strange noise and banding). Tonight I thought I gave firewire a try, and it works perfectly!

So finally I can use Silverfast instead of ScanWizard. Silverfast does much better on scanning negative films.

Just an information to share...

thank you for the information but the Scanner should also work with USB maybe there is something else on the USB Bus that is disturbing ?
