48 Bit Color and 16 Bit greyscale are "unavailable"

I have an Artixscan 1800f and am running LaserSoft Ai 6 under Windows 2000. When opening via TWAIN from our application I can only select 48-24 bit Color and 16-8 bit color. i thought this might be that TWAIN was only 8 bit, but I can scan 16 bit using the Microtek scanmaker TWAIN plug-in too.

Can you offer any advice .. thx ..

Are you sure, that you use the Ai version and not SE ?

Which application do you use?
The SilverFast TWAIN version is negotiating the capabilities with the application. If the application doesn't tell via TWAIN, that it can handle 16 bit data, SilverFast won't show that option.

Since the application is our applicxation, I will check the TWAIN negotiation, thx for your help, btw you have a very nice product.
