I scanned more than 30 slides and EVERY prescan results in a sharp edge in the histogramm at the very same point in every picture.
Is this a hardware problem?
Negative scans seem to work quite ok.

Sharp Edge in SilverFast Histogram
Sharp Edge in SilverFast Histogram
If a sharp edge appears within the histogram, there might me some clipping come from the hardware. Try to scan into raw data and check the results in Photoshop or SilverFast HDR.

Histogramm again
My description may have been misleading.
The problem is that there is a sharp _jump_ in every histogramm at the same point.
This only appears when color scanning is set. If I view the histogramm in b/w mode, everything is smooth. The jump appears in the single color histogramms as well. Isn't that strange?
BTW: Shouldn't it be possible to set color depth to 36 bit? (SilverFast SE).
Where can I set that option? Every color scan result is only 24 bit.

Can you please post a screenshot of your histogram here, or e-mail it to
https://www.silverfast.com/problemreport ... opic=Usage
Please also check which SE version of SilverFast you currently have installed. 48 Bit (raw) output was added to SE 6 at a later time, so 6.1 or 6.0 releases might not have it.
