my mediax scanner is operating well except the scanned picture is a blank slide.
i found the scanning lamp rather faint in my idea, is this normal?
and if not where do i find a spare lamp for the mediaxscan?

I mean that the scanning result is blank while using a proper slide.
I discovered this misfunctioning after i had a computercrash first. as a result i got another pc with windows xp in stead of the wondows 98 i had before. while installing an upgraded version of silverfast i thought i find this new problem of blank slides, but after using another older pc with windows 98 i experience the same problem. So now i think the software is hardly to blame but there could be something wrong with the scanner. the scanning evolves properly withe the right movements but the lamp might produce too faint light I suppose. Also the scanning is only statable from the silverfast launcher and not by pushing the scan button on the mediax device.
