Won't accept Serial Number

Postby rodw » Wed Sep 04, 2002 2:10 am

I am still waiting for a response to the message to your Australian distributor which he referred to you yesterday. It's really annoying to pay for a product that I can't use, so please respond ASAP.

Subject: Invalid Silverfast Serial Number

Joel,

As discussed with Rob at Proscan, I can?t register the copy of Silverfast I have received.

I have double checked this morning and have tried all eight possible combinations of ?O? and Zero without success.

Please provide the correct serial number.

Could you please also advise how to obtain an upgrade to Silver fast 6.0 as I purchased this software after version 6 was released and made a purchase decision based on the feature set of the new version, so I was disappointed to receive an outdated version.

Invalid serial Number

Postby rodw » Fri Sep 06, 2002 2:10 am

This information requested has been forwarded to you by the Australian Distributor. I have received a response direct from Kristian at your office. You have advised that the Serial number provided was for the ITC module and I should use the basic serial number.

The trouble is, I have not been advised of a basic serial number. Your error is causing me great inconvenience. Please provide the correct serial number forthwith.

Version 6 won't accept serial number.

Postby photo2001 » Wed Oct 02, 2002 12:34 am

Hi all,
This is my first post on the forum. Looks like a lot of great info here!

A few days ago I downloaded SilverFast SE version 6. It's an upgrade from version 5.5 that was bundled with my Epson 2450 scanner.

I'm using Photoshop 7, on a Mac Titanium PowerBook 667, Mac OS X, 512 mb of Ram.

Everytime I try to enter the serial number that I was given, the program won't accept it. It will only run in demo mode, which is of no use. I've emailed LaserSoft twice and haven't heard a word yet. I know other people have had the same problem.

Has anyone else solved this problem?
Thanks!

Photo2001.

I talked to the support and they told me that the problem of user "rodw" was solved at Sep, 19th.

What they told me is:
"rodw" has downloaded the v6 SE, which can be downloaded without paying. v6 will run in demo mode (and not accept the old v5.x serial number) as long as you don?t enter a valid v6 serial number. To get the v6 serial number, you have to purchase (or upgrade to) v6 SE.
If this is your problem, please go to the download site again and fill in the order sheet.
If this is not your problem, please contact the support directly at support@silverfast.de.

Eric,

I paid for the SilverFast SE version 6 upgrade right on LaserSoft's website before I downloaded the software. I have tried to enter the serial number in many different ways, copy/paste, etc.. Nothing works

I'll keep trying to contact LaserSoft about this.

Thanks!

SE 6 won't accept serial number

Postby ekaran » Sun Jan 12, 2003 3:47 am

Why are so many people having this problem for such a long time? i purchased SE 6 upgrade yesterday on line from Silverfast site, uninstalled my bundled 5.5 and now have nothing i can work with because the 6 will not accept the serial number i received in the email from LaserSoft. I wrote to report this problem and am awaiting a response. I have just discovered this forum and see that this problem has been going on for some months now. I can't believe that this issue apparentlystill unresolved. has anyone on this form had a resolution to this problem?

Same here - entered all information as emailed to me but won't accept the serial number. The cursor just goes to the serial number field and highlights it. Tried everything suggested but nothing works. Version 6SE. This seems to be a particular problem that needs sorting.

Jackamo
I wrote to customer support and received a response with a new serial number that worked. Write them and you should be able to get help.
