I installed Silverfast and downloaded and installed the "Docu Installer" http://www.silverfast.com/documentation ... #installer.
Where to I find this documentation? When I click Help -> Documentation I am still directed to the wen site.
Where is the documentation?

Re: Where is the documentation?
Dear customer,
The documents are stored in your operating system's "all users" area.
They are displayed using the favoured application for that file type.
That could be your web browser.
Is it maybe loading the local data but displays it in the browser?
kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.

Re: Where is the documentation?
I don't get it. What do you mean with "All users"?
I noticed the installer does not continue when Silverfast is not installed (I wanted to install the documentation on a notebook so I could read it when I am travelling), so I supposed is would install into the menus of Silverfast. But that does not seem to be the case. I looked into "All programs" but could not find it, unless I overlooked it.

Re: Where is the documentation?
Dear customer,
Yes, sorry, the SilverFast app needs to be installed because the documentation installer wants to place links in it.
You can simply install your SilverFast on the second computer to be able to execute the installer.
Or you can also download the PDFs manually from our documentation page.
The "all users" folder is called differently depending on the used operating system.
On OSX it is called "shared".
Kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.

Re: Where is the documentation?
I am having having the same issue after just installing Silverfast 8. I thought that by loading the Docu installer I would have access to detailed documentation within the program for each module. But when I press any ? button it just throws me to a link to download the Quickguide which is already installed anyway but Silverfast does not link to it. Also the information in there is not enough I want detailed information for settings for each section, e.g. Sharpness I want to know the effect of all the parameters. Is this not documented anywhere?
Thanks
Richard
Thanks
Richard

Re: Where is the documentation?
Dear Richard,
Please make sure that the Adobe Acrobat Reader is installed on your system and PDFs are linked to it.
In case you are using an OS X system try repairing the disk permissions.
For more information on the tools please also watch our tutorial movies.
They are available through the QuickTime button in each tool.
Kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.

Seem to see the same problem.
Recently installed Silverfast AI Studio 8.8.0r8. Tried running the docu package and cannot find documentation it installed. The links in the software still point to the onload version.

Re: Where is the documentation?
Dear user,
Did you install it from a full administrator account.
Make sure the installation directory is fully accessible. SilverFast checks this location and if it can not access the files opens the internet connection.
The files are installed in
Windows: C:/ApplicationData/LaserSoft Imaging/SilverFast 8/Documentation
Mac: /Users/Shared/LaserSoft Imaging/SilverFast 8/Documentation
Kind regards,
Arne
