Visual C++ Runtime error when running

I puchased the SilverFast 8 SE Plus in a bundle with Minolta DiMAGE Scan Elite 5400II — installation is successful (driver and SF, QuickScan works), but when running, the system returns dialogue of Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library saying it requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way (attached).

Win 10 ×64, 6.6.2r5 Ai for Minolta 5400 II , Avast Internet Security, the product is registered. What can be done here?

Dear user,

The Minolta 5400 II unfortunately is not supported on Windows 10 64.
It is SilverFast 6.6 by the way. Version 8 unfortunately is not available for this device.
