Upgrade installation of HDR6

I have been using HDR6 and want to install the current version. What is the proper install process so that I don't lose all my setting? When I tried installation a message box said I needed to uninstall the existing version.

Dear Ken -
Please copy your SilverFast folder to the desktop ( not the plug-in) - uninstall the exsisting version and install the newer version. Than put the Silverfast folder back to the import / export folder of Photoshop.
All your settings will be saved
