Unable to install Silverfast 8.8 for Plustek 7600i

Hi

I purchased and downloaded SF-8.8.0r7(Plustek)_x64.exe yesterday for my Plustek 7600i so that I could integrate it with Photoshop CC 2017. I cannot get the software to run past the unpacking stage - I've tried turning off AV software to no avail. I've downloaded and installed the 64 bit driver for the scanner but cannot get it to work correctly. The Quickscan feature works but nothing else.

Can you help please - have now wasted two frustrating evenings trying to get it to work.

Dear Steve,

In case the installation file does not finish there might be some files it can not replace.

Try the following:
Right click the installation file and create a shortcut.
Right-click the shortcut and open the properties. There add /S /nocheck behind the Application line under "Target".
It should look like this: ...)_x64.exe /S /nocheck
Then run the shortcut.
The installation will run silently and only be visible in the Task manager.

I have now succeeded in installing Silverfast - it's worth mentioning in additon to your instructions that the /S /nocheck needs to be put put after the quotes on the path so it reads: ...)_x64.exe" /S /nocheck . I get the same error trying to do the automatic update so will have to manually download it and create the shortcut solution.

Having succeeded in getting Silverfast to work, I'm still unable to work out how I can integrate it with Adobe Photoshop CC 2017. I can't see a way to enable it as a plug-in. Can you explain please?

Dear Steve,

The plug-in should be automatically installed. Is photoshop maybe installed in a non-standard folder?
Also make sure the Photoshop installation folder is fully accessible.
SilverFast should automatically appear in the Photoshop import modules.
If Photoshop was running it only needs to be restarted to load the module.
