Unable to install Epson 3200 update

I have SilverfastAI version 6.01r31, which causes Windows XP to hang immediately after every prescan and scan.

I downloaded the update file SFE-6.1.0r8(Epson).exe and ran it. After running the update, however, the program remains 6.01r31.

I uninstalled everything and then installed the demo version, which is 6.1.0r7, and works perfectly.

It's very frustrating. Please advise.

This is not just a 3200 problem. The Photoshop windows installer has been changed. It puts things in different directories and in any case the software is not recognised either to Elemnts or to the driver stub.

r7 works fine. I suggest you remove from the webupdate till you fix it.

It says in one of the other threads that the installer for version 6.1.0r8 for Epson is not okay.
