umax astra 6400/silverfast se/G4 mac os 10.2.8
I cannot get this software to recognize my scanner. The documentation says that it is compatible with the Umax Astra 6400. However, when I check the SF_logfile, it is not listed as a supported driver. What gives? Kathy

Though I don't know if you are using a bundled version (bSE) or a version aquired via online purchase from our webstore (Internet SE => iSE), I am quite sure that this isn't a version for your scanner.
I just check both installers which can be downloaded from our website and they both show the Astra 6400 as supported in the SF_Logfile.
So, if your SilverFast doesn't, just go ahead and download the version for the Umax Astra 6400 (either bSE or iSE, depends on if your SilverFast came bundled with your scanner or not) directly from our download section and install it.
You should remove the SilverFast folder for the already installed, inappropriate version, from your /Applications/Photoshop/Plugins/Import-Export folder first.

Wrong version?
You are correct about having the wrong version. How do I contact someone in your company about this? I am using the software that you sent me - version 6. I did order the software online so that I could use my scanner in Mac os x. Now I have a serial number issue. I can't find it and I wiped out my old files as you instructed before installing the demo version. (Don't know if that matters.)
