Hi ,
I've installed the Epson 3.25E scan software and Silverfast 6.5.5rn onto my Intel 2 core DUO Imac running 10.4.11. for my V700 scanner.
After rebooting the computer into my account the display image got larger by about 10%, thus unabling to see the top menu. Moving the mouse, moves the display about half a centimeter. I can't see the top menu to be able to change anything. I had to unplug the computer to reboot it.
Booting into my wife's account on the computer; the display image behaves as normal.
Besides the V700 (via firewire) I have an CRT Monitor attached, an Epson 1270 Printer via USB and an external hard drive via firewire.
Upon unplugging the CRT Monitor the display is still larger than the screen. I can now maneuver the top menu into view with the mouse, but then loose the dock (at the bottom of the display). I can't see both the top menu of dock at the same time. But at least now I can work the computer.
BTW, I did a scan with the Epson software before installing the Silverfast and everything worked fine. I've also tried: getting rid of the Lasersoft software but the display still misbehaves. I've created a third account on the IMac and reinstalled the lasersoft software in that account and all works fine. My section/account (where all my vast collection of programs and email etc resides on the mac still has the image larger than the display.
I have checked the resolution of both displays and they have not changed.
Can anyone help me resolove this quandary?
thanks. Andrew
