Silverfast Ai and Negative Film

I just downloaded the Ai version of Silverfast and I get the same problem as the SE version. When I scan the negative, all I see is a negative image on my screen. What's the problem with this software? Is it Windows XP, The Epson 2450 or the Silverfast? And another thing...I do not see an overview button or thumbnails on my screen either. With the Epson Twain driver everything works fine.

i assume you changed the scan type to negative rather than positive ?

2nd, please read the tutorials at Ian Lyons web site www.computer-darkroom.com or the pdf manuals that you can download. They will get you up to speed faster than anything else. Silverfast does have a steep learning curve, even with scan pilot.
