Postby Longy » Thu Feb 13, 2003 2:09 pm

When I try and run the Silverfast standalone application (SF App V1.1.5) and click Import nothing happens.

The plugin is Silverfast (Micotek).

i'm running Mac OS 9.2.2 on a G3 266.

Please make sure you have the latest carbon-libraries installed. Also, check the memory allocation of the SF_app. And, please re-set the App by deleting the .prf- file. Then it should work.

I've just installed Photoshop 5.5 and reintalled Silverfast 6.

When I go to Import in Photoshop and select silverfast (Microtek) I get the error message :

"Could not complete the import command because of a problem with the Macintosh Code Fragment Manager."

Please Help - were getting desperate.

Cheers

*Please note the reinstall was just installing the Photoshop Plugin not the combo install.
Macintosh Code Fragment Manager.
doesn't that refer to the Shared Library Manager extension? make sure you have both Shared Library Manager and Shared Library Manager PPC loaded in Extensions.

what happens if you switch your Extensions Manager set to OS 9.2.2 Base or OS 9.2.2 Full?

regards
Gregory

Thanks for the reply,

I have tried with Base extensions on and full extensions and only putting on certain extensions and I still get the same problem.

I have checked that shared libaries is there and it is

Shared Library Manager 2.0.2
Shared Library Manager PPC 2.0.2

What else can it be?

Heres a screen shot of all my Extensions that are on.

I am also having a similar problem. OS 9.2.1

Error message: Could not complete the Import command because an error occurred loading the plug-in.

It is the same in either Photoshop 6 or 7 and will not run as a stand-alone application. Tech support has not been able to recreate the problem, so has only suggested re-installing, which does not solve the problem.

Any suggestion?

which version of ScanWizard have you installed?

I have just recently been working with SF and the Microtek ScanMaker 5700 scanner on OS 9.2.2 without any real problems other than scanner specific glitches. I'm using ScanWizard v5.8.3.

Checking the Microtek web site (http://202.39.72.2/Singapore/Web/mac9800.htm), the latest driver for your scanner is ScanWizard Pro v6.1.0. Is that what you are using?

I'm using a Nikon 4000ED. I'm not familiar with Scan Wizard.
