Silverfast 6.5.5r1 Will Not Initialize Microtek i900 - CS3

6.5.5.r1 aborts when starting a scan or prescan with the Microteck i900 on win XP with CS3. The Same happens with CS2. I just upgraded to Ai Studio, I guess I should have tried it with CS3 and CS2.

It looks to me like there may be a similar problem with my Nikon Coolscan 9000.

Anybody have any clues here?? I sure hope there is a quick fix for this. Software should work if you have to pay for it.

I reported this same problem to Silverfast. I am running Vista and the same problem exists with this version. For your information the prior release 6.5.1r3 does work. See if you can get that version until they fix the current one.

Hi Jim, just wanted to let you know that the most recent version of Silverfast Version 6.5.5r2 works with the Microtek i900. This version also seems to correct a problem with Photoshop CS3. The prior versions would crash Photoshop CS3 if you tried to scan a second image without restarting Photoshop.
