Hi,

SF_App 1.0.8 still doesn't work on
on MacOS 9.1. I can't find the
PhotoShop Plugin (V 5.5.2r12, Kodak RFS 3600).

Dear Detlev,
that Photoshop Plug-in is NOT necessary. SilverFast App will use it's own SilverFast modules. These modules (or Plug-ins to keep the name) are located inside the "SilverFast Application" folder - did you find this folder? (MacOS Applications)

If you do not have such a Plug-in, you simply go to the Photoshop "Import-Export" folder and there you'll find a SilverFast(your_manufacturer) folder. In this folder you will find your usual SilverFast plug-in.

Copy this plug-in to the "SilverFast Application" folder and start the SF_App.

No,

there is no folder "SilverFast Application" and there are no
other modules or something else. SF_App is only a small piece
of software with 248kb size.

When SF_App is running its creates only the file SF_App.prf
in same folder where SF_App resides.

So, what is wrong???

Detlev.

No matter, where your SilverFast plugins are, you can allways set the path to your plugins in SF_App. Did you try that?

Of course,

i tried several directorys and i also created the folder
"SilverFast Application" by myself.

(B.t.w.: I wanted to check the TWAIN-distribution 5.5.2r12 for
Kodak RFS 3600 and i can't uncompress it - there is an error
in this file ....

And you have several versions of SF_App online, see here:

http://www.silverfast.com/show/sfapp/de.html

http://www.silverfast.com/show/download/de.html

So, is here anyone left with the same problems????
I hope, i am not alone ....

I think this tool is a nice idea - so i want to use it.

I have exactly the same problem. When I open SF_App, I am asked for the plug-in folder, but whatever folder I choose, the only option I get is 'Cancel', and the application quits.

Don?t use the the TWAIN plugin. SF_App communicates with Photoshop plugins only.

SF_APP

:D Thanks to the folks who discussed the bad install for SF_APP. Mine was made worse because the SF-APP in the LaserSoft Folder was installed on my C drive at C:\program files\LaserSoft\SilverFast, while I elected to install SilverFast HDR5.5 on my D drive. Used file manager in windows and simply copied the HDR from the appropriate photoshop plugin folder and now I am up and running. Interesting enough, this same problem exists clear up through 5.5, but when I tried the 6.0 demo version a little bit (before finding another problem and removing it from my system) the install program worked correctly and SF_APP worked right away.
