SF Ai 6 upgrade: me too, problem with serial number

I just downloaded the SF Ai 6 upgrade to my Nikon LS400 scanner and got by email a serial number IT8 included. After uninstalling SF 5.5 I installed the SF 6 upgrade and used the IT8 serial number but SF6 askes for the basic serial number which I didn't get yet from Lasersoft. The serial number I have is only for deblocking the extra SF features like IT8. So I need another serial number to start the basic SF Ai 6 version.

Could you please fix this problem asap...

please write to our Support e-mail and you will be given a new number.

this is NOT a problem, this is a feature
If you by a new version of SilverFast you old serial numbers do not apply to this new version.

There is some misunderstanding here....
The serial number I used is the serial number I got when buying the new SF6 upgrade not the one from my previous SF 5.5 version. Like it was asked for I mentioned that I needed the upgrade for IT8. I got a serial number that only allows to deblock the IT8 feature not to start up the basic SF6.

I wrote to LS support but got no answer yet.


At the last upgrade to SF5.5 there were also many problems with serial numbers...Hope this one will get fixed soon too.
