Installed an older version of Silverfast (3.80) which came bundled apparently, with my newly aquired Epson836XL scanner. Can not get the serial# to save, everytime I import Silverfast plug in for scanning, I have to re-enter serial#. Running Mac system 9.0 with P. Shop 6.0. What needs to be done to fix this? Support center not responding, need suggestions.Serialization everytime I use silverfast?

The problem is the combination of the versions of SilverFast and PhotoShop. SilverFast version 3.80 ist very old. This version saves the serial number in a file that newer versions of PhotoShop open write protected (since PS 5.0). When we found this problem, we changed the place of the serial number.
As far as I know, there are only two solutions:
1. Use an older version of Photoshop.
2. Upgrade you SilverFast to the current version
