Scanner not found ???

Postby MARK ANDERSON » Mon Jul 05, 2004 9:36 pm

I just got a new G5, running OSX 10.3.4. I'm running a Umax Powerlook 2100XL and SF SE. I decided not to install my SCSI card.
So, instead I bought and installed an ADAPTEC USBXchange. I put the SilverFast SE plugin in the Photoshop CS only plugins folder, the computer is regognising the Adaptec USBx but when I try to start the scanner driver in Photoshop CS it comes up in the index folder but says scanner not found ???
Am I missing something ?

Thanks,

Mark :-?

Dear user

please download and install the latest update for your version of SilverFast from our website.
You might experience that this already does solve your problem.

Sometimes it does help to change the SCSI ID on your scanner, if it does allow you to. You might want to look into our FAQ for SCSI related installation hints.
Please check if you scanner is shown in the Apple System Profiler.
If the operating system doesn't find it, there is little chance SilverFast will be able to detect it.

However, if the problem persists, please don't hesitate to contact LaserSoft Imaging support staff: https://www.silverfast.com/problemreport/en.html
I would appreciate if you could paste a fresh copy of the SF_Logfile in the problem report.
Thanks in advance for your co-operation.
