ScanMaker i900 not found

ScanMaker i900 not found

I've read the other posts but have found nothing that is helping resolve the issue. Here are the specifics:

Mac OSX Leopard 10.5

PowerMac G5

ScanMaker i900 connected by firewire

Installed current version of SilverFast 6.5.5

Neither SF on its own or via Photoshop CS will locate the scanner.

Unplugged and rebooted and all of that, still not found.

Have tried deleting LaserSoft folder from prefs and this did not work.

ALSO: please note, the i900 worked flawlessly for 3 years using Microtek's ScanWizard. However, that software DOES NOT WORK with Mac Leopard 10.5. So there is no way to launch any kind of Microtek programs to find the scanner, etc.

Any ideas?

did you try downloading the latest Leopard compatible drivers from Microtek website ?
