Problems with Firewire

Postby Powertower » Wed Mar 08, 2006 7:20 pm

Hello,
I have Silverfast 5 with a Nikon LS 4000. I always used it with a SCSI card. Now I swopped to my new computer and there is only a firewire port. When I install the Software I always get the message that there is no SCSI . How can I change the Software that it accepts a Firewire Port.
Many thanks

Dear Powertower

is this really about the Nikon LS-4000? I didn't know there were SCSI models out there, too.

Best regards

I dont know if this applies to your computer / scanner, however my experience:
My scanner is also on Firewire and found only if switched on after Windows has booted; otherwise the scanner is not registered by the operating system (see device manager) and thus not found by the scanner programs.
