Post rejection

Postby Donone » Fri Mar 16, 2012 12:21 pm

I tried to send a private message but it was rejected.

I am having difficulty understanding my post rejection of yesterday.
The forum was headed Installation Problems.
It contains many posts of people stating their problems. I did the same.
Normally a forum is to allow people to gain knowledge and assistance from others who may have had the same problem.

What was specifically different about my post?
Why does the forum have that title? It seems an invitation to describe problems.

Perhaps you could explain why people might simply say what problems they have but not expect a comment from others, I am baffled and obviously missing some nuance.

Hi donone
Hi everybody

Although this topic has been exposed and discussed many times in this forum we are allowing this thread once again for the sake of clarity.

I can not really tell what was different, most likely your post has been treated somewhere in the forum previously; but most importantly is why it was rejected.

The rules of the forum clearly state, that personal support will better provided over our support system where all entries are directly handled and followed by our support staff. Having hundreds of support posts on a daily basis here will make it chaotic and hard to follow and control.

Most of the problems posted are very old and led to a chaotic situation which at the same time led to having this sort of control over the forum entries.

On a regular basis however we handle a common representative case over the forum so people with the same problem have access to related information. Our experience have shown that for some reason users rarely use the search function on the forum to access this kind of information and end up posting the same question and problems over and over.

Please understand that due to the many sources of information we have (forum, external forums, blogs, social media and support assistant), it is necessary to apply some sort of control and canalize our support cases straight to support to be attended by our staff.

I hope this helps clarify this sort of cases and we offer apologies for any inconveniences.

by the way, I see that your support case has been successfully handled by our support staff.

Kind regards
Alejandro Morales
