Plustek 7500i from Win to Mac - what do I need?

My Plustek 7500i AI package came with 2 CDs - a Plustek OpticFilm application CD and the Silverfast Ai CD - and I've been using both on a Win XP system. I'm now moving to MAC OSX 1.6 (Snow Leopard) and am unsure as to how I should proceed. The Silverfast AI CD is for 6.6 but possibly at a level that does not support OSX 1.6. I have downloaded the update to 6.6.1r4a from this website; do I need to install the original CD first and then the update, or is the update file complete?

I also don't know what to do about the Plustek software - their CD only supports Windows and when I look at their site they direct me to LaserSoft for Mac support. Could someone please post with the proper process to get the scanner and AI software operational on OSX 1.6 based on the CDs that I have? Thanks!

Dear pdimarzio,

The Plustek CD does not have any drivers for Mac. In this case you should only install the 6.6.1r4a version you have downloaded from our site. However you will need to have the CD inserted in the computer drive for serialization purposes (it's not necessary to install anything from that CD).

Thanks Alejandro - the software installed just fine. Unfortunately the "QuickScan" and "IntelliScan" buttons on the Plustek do not do anything but unless Plustek supplies Mac drivers I suppose that's the way it has to be (unless someone has a solution?).
