photoshop elements 4 not seeing scanner

firstly i should like to say hello to all on this forum.
i have been using silvefast for a couple of years without any trouble.
i just upgraded to photoshop elements4 and cannot get it to recognise the scanner epson perfection 2450.
ihave reinstalled silverfast studio ai several times but i cannot get the plug-in or the import from silverfast to work.
any ideas

Check the location of the plug-in folder, because it may be in another location with the new version of elements. In addition, if you haven't already, download and install the current version of SilverFast.

I have the same problem Elements 4.0 can not find Silverfast. I ask Adobe but they couldn't help me, they say it was a Lasersoft problem.
I hope you have a solution.

Did you locate the plug-in folder? It might be a simple as placing the file "SilverFast (Epson).8ba" into "\Plug-Ins\Import-Export\"
